Why?
On a personal note, why do I love this song? When I first heard this song, I wasn't into rock/metal songs that much. But when I heard this song, everything just changed. This song is simple, stating one fact, the fact that we can love and hate someone, even if that someone had hurt us or that we despite that person. Many people can relate to this song because of its universal message. It's not about "healing", it's not about "understanding the pain", it's just a simple song about a complicated feeling. Rock or metal music can have soul, and it evokes feeling of anger, and this anger comes from compressed depression. I think this song is just a classic example. It makes you want to scream and makes you want to cry. But also, we know that the reason this song is popular is because many people feel the same.
