KISHIMOTO MASASHI

Kishimoto Masashi can be seen as a young but extremely successful mangaka with great talents and unique imaginations. He is the mangaka of the ever so popular shonen (boys) manga Naruto.

Kishimoto Masashi's Naruto is the most popular ninja manga in Japan today - if not the most popular manga, period. With its beautifully detailed artwork, great characters, and elaborate ninja fantasy world, it's not hard to see why the manga has taken over the imagination of fans everywhere.

After winning Shueisha's "Hop Step" Award for new manga artists for Karakuri, about a WW2 special forces squad in 1995, Masashi published his one-shot version of Naruto in Akamaru Jump in 1997, then he debutes with Naruto in the Weekly Shonen Jump in 1999, both the manga series and Masashi's popularity grew each day. Naruto is still going strong and Masashi's growth of popularity and skills are unstoptable. To join this fanlisting, you do not only appreciate the "cool fights" in Masashi's manga, but you also appreciate him as an artist, appreciate his style, sense of humor, imagination and everything! I was really impressed by his detailed and well coordinated artwork, humor and imagination.

Happy Go Lucky, you'll probably say this is such a lame name, but really, I can't think of any other more suitable name for this fanlisting. Masashi is a very lucky young mangaka, to be so popular with his debute work, and to mature and progress so much in just one manga, he is talented, with some luck. And through his writings and notes, we can see that he is a pretty optimistic guy, always happy, always think that everything will turn out to be fine even when he's in trouble. Quote: So I thought everything would be fine since I was just a stupid young man, but now I think about it, thank god for being stupid!
